Birth name
Luba Niyazov
From the memories of Tamara Mavasheva about Frekho’s children.
Frekho’s fourth child was Lyuba Niyazova, born in 1934. She was the darling of the Niyazov and Mavashev families. A delicate, slender girl, very agile and clever. Always smiling and eager to please everyone around her. When she talked, she had a slight lisp, which added a sweet tone to her speech. Her three brothers – Mordukhai, Pinhas, and Danil – loved and protected their little sister. Lyuba lost her mother when she was 9 years old. From a very young age, she was very attached to me. After my sister’s death in 1943, Lyuba lived for some time with her brother Mordukhai, and then she moved into our family and stayed with us until her marriage. Lyuba was a great help in managing the household and looking after the children.
We married Lyuba on March 5, 1952, at the age of 18. Yakov Sachakov, from a very respectable family, sought her hand in marriage. Yakov was a professional shoemaker, which allowed the family to be well provided for, so Lyuba focused on raising the children and taking care of the household. She was an excellent homemaker, always cooking with taste and refinement. Visiting Yakov and Lyuba was always pleasant and satisfying. In their marriage, they raised and nurtured three wonderful children: Esther, Frida, and Misha, who gave them 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Lyuba passed away on September 26, 1987, and Yakov on December 31, 1990, both in Tashkent.
