Yuriy Mavashev

I would like to share the story of my exceptional father, a man with incredible qualities. I consider myself incredibly lucky and blessed to inherit his outstanding qualities. The love and positive energy he radiates toward me are boundless, to the extent that I start each morning with a heartfelt phone call to him. Our special connection goes back to my earliest childhood memories.

Every time my father went on his monthly business trips, there was a curious and undeniable pattern. Without fail, every time he left, I would fall ill, which was a testament to the unique bond between us. Each New Year, my dad would dedicate time to create a tiara for me by cutting shapes from old chocolate boxes and tying them to a string. This cherished tradition never ceases to warm my heart.

It fills me with immense joy to witness the deep and unwavering bond that my daughter, Donna, shares with my father. While he loves all his grandchildren immensely, there is a special magic in the connection between him and Donna. Throughout his life, people have been drawn to him like moths to a flame, captivated by his sense of humor and outgoing nature. His mere presence has the ability to light up any room.

Despite any painful sensations he may endure, his positive outlook on life and his unwavering commitment to never burden his children mean that he never complains. Instead, he always prioritizes the well-being of those around him.

My parents are celebrating 61 years of marriage and continue to see it as a testament to the enduring love they share. I take immense pride in their everlasting love for each other. My brother and I were privileged to grow up in a home filled with the love they share, a love that has not faded to this day.

My father is a proud grandparent to four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, a testament to the love and legacy he has nurtured throughout his life.
